Benin FA President and CAF executive member had recently boasted that Amaju Pinnick of Nigeria is his 'small boy' but the election table has proved him wrong.

CAF Presidency: Nigeria Should Support 'GOD SENT' Issa Hayatou - Amos Adamu

Former Federation of International Football Associations executive committee member Amos Adamu has given his backing to the CAF presidential bid of incumbent Issa Hayatou and has sensationally called the Cameroonian who has been in the saddle since 1988 “a God sent” to Nigeria’s football, reports.

The elections into the executive board of the continent’s football body hold on Thursday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and the former boss of the National Sports Commission spoke exclusively to as the build-up to the elections continues.

CAF Elections: Solomon Dalung Backs Pinnick

Amanju Pinnick has gained and won the support of Solomon Dalung toward contesting for a CAF seat and backing Ahmad Ahmad to defeat long serving Isa Hayatou to the surprise of many who thought the Minister was going to call Pinnick's blough.

The endorsement was reaffirmed by the board members and  the federal government represented by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung who presided over an emergency meeting today in Abuja.

Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has cleared the air on the Federation’s mandate to its President, Amaju Pinnick, with regards to the Confederation of African Football,CAF, election.
Its Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee, Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande, said the federation's board members declared their support for the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, to use his discretion and vote for that candidate who would best serve Nigeria’s interest during the election.

FG Should Support Pinnick's CAF Committee Seat Bid - Bio

Former sports minister, Alhaji Ibrahim Bio, believes that Nigeria would be the better for it, if Amaju Pinnick, President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) wins the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee seat.

Pinnick will contest against Benin Republic’s Anjorin Moucharafou in the election slated for Addis Ababa on March 16, 2017.

Chris Giwa Protests NFF, FIFA Bans

Yesterday news broke out that FIFA had extended the ban of Chris Giwa to a worldwide ban based of the world governing body's ethics.

Christopher Giwa has protested against the five-year ban placed on him by FIFA due to the leadership tussle in the  Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.

However, Giwa said he had yet to get notification of his ban.

The four other officials are Muazu Suleyman, Yahaya Adama, Sani Fema and Johnson Effiong.
