Highlights of National Basketball Association games on Friday:

Spurs 105, Clippers 97

Kawhi Leonard scored 21 points, and San Antonio used a third-quarter spark to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night at Staples Center.

Tony Parker and Pau Gasol, who played for the first time in 15 games after breaking his left hand, contributed 17 points apiece for the Spurs (44-13), who won their third in a row. Gasol also collected 11 rebounds. LaMarcus Aldridge had 15 points and 11 boards and Patty Mills added 14 points for San Antonio.

Basketball: NBA Round Up (Feb 23)

Seeking frontcourt help, the Oklahoma City Thunder acquired veteran forward Taj Gibson from the Chicago Bulls just before the end of Thursday's trading deadline.

Along with Gibson, the Thunder will reportedly obtain small forward Doug McDermott and a 2018 second-round pick from Chicago. The Bulls are expected to receive reserve guards Cameron Payne and Anthony Morrow along forward Joffrey Lauvergne.

Basketball: NBA Roundup (Feb.21)

The Los Angeles Lakers named team legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson as president of basketball operations on Tuesday while conducting a housecleaning.

In addition to Johnson's appointment, the Lakers also announced the firing of general manager Mitch Kupchak and vice president of basketball operations Jim Buss.

Jim Buss was fired by his sister, team governor Jeanie Buss. The two had been jointly running the organization since their father, Jerry, died in 2013. Jeanie is in charge of business decisions and Jim was overseeing the basketball operation.

Basketball: Chris Webber, Tracy McGrady Among 14 NBA Hall Of Fame Finalists

Five-time NBA All-Star Chris Webber and former league scoring champion Tracy McGrady are among 14 finalists for this year's Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame class.

The finalists, who include four former NBA players and seven coaches, were announced on Saturday in New Orleans.

Webber averaged more than 20 points for nine consecutive seasons in a 15-year career with five NBA teams.

McGrady led league scorers in 2003 and 2004 and earned all-star honors seven times. He averaged 19.6 points in 15 NBA seasons.

Highlights of National Association Basketball games on Thursday:

Bulls 104, Celtics 103

The Chicago Bulls hit all 22 of their free throws, including a pair by Jimmy Butler with 0.9 seconds left after a touch foul call, to edge the Boston Celtics 104-103 at the United Center.

Trailing 103-102, Butler drew a foul on Marcus Smart off a jump shot on Chicago's final possession.

The Bulls' leading scorer stepped to the free-throw line and drilled both foul shots, making him nine-for-nine for the game and giving him 29 points.

Basketball: NBA Round Up (Feb 16)

Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal is in disbelief that he was passed over for the Eastern Conference All-Star team in favor of New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony in an injury replacement pick made by NBA commissioner Adam Silver.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love pulled out of the game due to a knee injury and Silver opted for Anthony on Wednesday night despite Beal helping the Wizards rise into one of the top teams in the East.

Raptors 90, Hornets 85

Kyle Lowry scored 21 points and broke a tie late in the fourth quarter as the Toronto Raptors overcame a 17-point deficit to defeat the Charlotte Hornets 90-85.

Norman Powell added 17 points for the Raptors. Frank Kaminsky led Charlotte with 27 points and Kemba Walker added 24.

Highlights from National Basketball Association games on Tuesday:

Cavaliers 116, Timberwolves 108

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving each scored 25 points and James added 14 assists as the Cleveland Cavaliers pulled away for victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Timberwolves forward Andrew Wiggins scored 41 points.

Basketball: NBA Round Up (Feb14)

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love underwent successful arthroscopic surgery to remove a loose body from his left knee in New York on Tuesday and is expected to miss six weeks.

According to the Cavaliers, Love sustained the injury during the team's 125-109 win over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.

Love, 28, was scheduled to represent Cleveland along with teammates LeBron James and Kyrie Irving at the NBA All-Star Game next Sunday in New Orleans.

Basketball: NBA Round Up (Feb 13)

The Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets officially completed the trade of centers on Monday.

Denver acquired Mason Plumlee, a 2018 second-round draft pick and cash consideration from Portland in exchange for Jusuf Nurkic and a 2017 protected first-round pick via Memphis, the teams announced.

The Cleveland Cavaliers traded injured reserve center Chris Andersen to the Charlotte Hornets to open up a roster spot.

Cleveland also sent cash considerations to Charlotte for a protected 2017 second-round pick, Cavs general manager David Griffin announced.
